Wissam Tariq Mahmoud Ziad (DOB: 30/09/2001) of Central Avenue, Levenshulme, has been charged with a series of offences under the Terrorism Act 2000 including:
- 1 x Encouragement of Terrorism contrary to Section 1 TACT 2006.
- 7 x Dissemination of Terrorist Publications contrary to Section 2 TACT 2006.
- 3 x Support of a Proscribed Organisation contrary to Section 12 TACT 2000.
He was arrested on Tuesday 15 June when police attended his address in Levenshulme.
Ziad has been remanded in custody and will appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning (Friday 18 June 2021).
