A man has been charged following a fatal collision where a 13-year-old boy sadly died, Ashton in Makerfield

Three men have been charged after a series of car-thefts were committed across Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Derbyshire

Liam Wilson (06/06/1999) of Livingstone Street, Ashton-in-Makerfield has been charged with death by dangerous driving and assault by beating of an emergency worker.

He has been remanded in custody to appear before Wigan Magistrates Court on Friday 10 July 2020.

At around 4.30pm on Tuesday 7 July 2020, police were called to reports of a collision between a car and a 13-year-old boy on Old Road, Ashton in Makerfield.

The boy, 13-year-old Jack Worwood, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where, despite the best efforts of medical staff, he sadly died the next day.
