Appeal following burglary at supermarket in St Helens

We are appealing for information following a burglary at a supermarket in St Helens last month.

At around 1.20am on Friday 2 December 2022, three people broke into Morrisons, on Boundary Road, before taking cash from the tills.

They were inside the premises for around two and a half minutes before they left and fled the area in a car.

All three wore dark clothing and had their faces covered.

Although several weeks have passed since this burglary, we hope that residents in nearby homes or passing motorists could have smart doorbell or dashcam footage that could help our investigation.

Detective Inspector James Rotheram said: “We are urging anyone who lives in the area and has doorbell or CCTV footage to check at around 1.20am on Friday 2 December to see if they captured anything that could help our investigation.

“We are also appealing for any drivers that may have captured dashcam footage to please get in touch so we can bring them to justice.”
