Appeal for information after RTC in St Helens

Appeal after man threatened at New Ferry flat

Officers from our Matrix Roads Policing Unit are appealing for witnesses after an RTC in St Helens.

At around 7.30pm, emergency services were called to Robins Lane after a report that a silver Renault Clio had collided with three parked vehicles: a Suzuki Swift; a black Mercedes A200, and a Hyundai Ioniq.

The driver of the Renault Clio, a woman in her 30s, was taken to hospital for minor injuries. Two other passengers – a woman in her 50s and a child aged 12 – were also treated in hospital for minor injuries.

Two other children were also passengers in the Clio, but were uninjured.

There were no passengers inside the parked cars at the time of the incident.

The road was reopened shortly after 10pm.

Roads Policing Inspector Carl McNulty said: “Thankfully no-one was seriously injured in this accident, which caused a domino effect of cars crashing into each other. We’re keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision, and would urge anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from Robins Lane or the surrounding area to get in touch as soon as possible. It might be that you have captured what happened just before or during the incident, and this information would be vital to our investigation.”
