Officers are appealing for information following a serious road traffic accident in Mossley Hill last night Saturday 26 August.
At around 9.20pm we received a report of a concern for safety of two people after a black Mercedes Class 180 drove into a flooded area on Queens Drive, between North Mossley Hill Road and Dovedale Road.
Police patrols assisted Merseyside Fire and Rescue Services at the scene until the early hours of this morning.
Inspector Ian Laycock said: “We are at the early stages of an investigation on North Mossley Hill Road to establish the circumstances of this incident and will give any updates as soon as we can on the two people involved.
“At this stage we would appeal to anyone who was on Queens Drive, between North Mossley Hill Road and Dovedale Road at around 9.20pm last night and saw the accident or has any dashcam footage from their car to come forward as soon as possible.
“Similarly if you live in the area and have any doorbell or CCTV footage from last night please share this with us and we will take action.”
