Businesses and stakeholders are invited to have their say on the economic recovery of town and district centres in St Helens Borough, as further coronavirus restrictions are scheduled to ease over the coming weeks in line with the government’s roadmap.

Hosted by St Helens Borough Council, the free-to-attend webinar follows on from a virtual event held last month to assist the businesses that were able to reopen from 12 April, with the aim of understanding how the council can further support local businesses and encourage people back safely to shop on their local high street.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions to panel members and also hear about the work St Helens Borough Council has been doing behind the scenes in readiness for the reopening of more businesses, as well as feedback from the previous business engagement forum and thoughts on future business liaison arrangements.

Sean Traynor, Director of Strategic Growth at St Helens Borough Council, said:

“We’re looking at the recovery of the local economy in the face of the most difficult year of trading the majority of businesses have ever faced.

“If you have a business in St Helens Borough, please join us at this online engagement event to help shape the further reopening of our high streets and help support the local economy bounce back.”

Due to high demand, this is a ticketed free event and places must be booked in advance.
