CCTV appeal following reports of sexual assaults in Liverpool

We have issued a CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to following reports two women were sexually assaulted in Liverpool.

The incidents are reported to have happened inside a property in Liverpool city centre at around 3am on Sunday 4th December.

The two women are being supported by officers and CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing.

We have issued a CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to as we believe he could assist with our enquiries.

Detective Inspector Paul McVeigh said: “We believe this man has information which is vital to our investigation.

“We are carrying out a number of lines of enquiry and I would ask anyone who recognises this man, or the man himself, to come forward and speak to us.

“We treat all allegations of sexual offences sensitively and with compassion and have specially trained officers who ensure victims are listened to, safeguarded and supported from the moment they report a crime and right through the judicial process.

“If anybody is out there suffering in silence we want you to know that there is help and support available, both from Merseyside Police, and from reliable and trusted support groups who will stand with you from the initial report and for as long as you need.”

Anyone who can assist the investigation is asked to DM @MerPolCC, call 101 or contact @CrimestoppersUK on 0800 555 111 quoting reference 2000892357.

There is a lot of support available from specialist officers within Merseyside Police and through the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Victim Care Merseyside service delivered jointly by two registered charities.
