Warrington’s resident – Reminder not to lose your vote

A Council by-election will be held in Manchester’s Chorlton ward on Thursday 18 November 2021.

It follows Cllr Matt Strong, one of the ward’s three current elected members on Manchester City Council, announcing that he is stepping down.

A full list of candidates will be published at 4pm Monday 25 October 2021 at www.manchester.gov.uk/elections

Poll cards with polling station details will be sent to everyone registered to vote in the Chorlton ward area. Polling hours will be from 7am to 10pm.

People living in the Chorlton ward are reminded that they need to be registered to vote in order to vote in this election.

If you are not already registered, the deadline for applications to register to be received is 2 November 2021. To register, go to www.gov.uk/registertovote. Registering is quick and easy – you’ll need your national insurance number and date of birth.

Anyone who is registered to vote in the ward can request a postal vote. Completed applications must be received no later than 5pm on 3 November 2021 and will require a signature and your date of birth for security purposes. If you are already registered as a postal voter, you do not need to reapply for this election.
