Council building opening times
All council buildings are open as usual until Friday 23 December.
All council administrative buildings – including Cunard Building – will be closed on:
- Saturday 24 December
- Sunday 25 December
- Monday 26 December (Bank Holiday)
- Tuesday 27 December (Bank Holiday)
- Monday 2 January 2023 (Bank Holiday)
Normal reception opening hours are 8.30am-5pm apart from the Cunard, which is open from 8am to 6pm.
Cunard reception opening times
Cunard reception will be open on Friday 23 December, Wednesday 28 December, Thursday 29 December and Friday 30 December from 8.30am-4.30pm.
It will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, and the additional Bank Holidays (Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 December).

Careline – our adults and children’s social care contact centre – is open 24/7 every day, even on Christmas Day, for enquiries and referrals.

One Stop Shops opening hours
All nine One Stop Shops will be closed from Saturday 24 December until Monday 2 January, except for Toxteth and Kirkdale which will be open as follows:
- Wednesday 28 December – 9.30am-4pm
- Thursday 29 December – 9.30am-4pm
- Friday 30 December – 9.30 – 4pm
Normal opening hours for all One Stop Shops resume from Tuesday 3 January.
