Council fostering service thanks foster carers

Foster4, the council’s foster carer recruitment service, is celebrating its second birthday by thanking foster carers old and new.

Reaching its second birthday, Foster4 continues to expand – recruiting carers on behalf of the four Cheshire Local Authorities- Warrington, Halton, Cheshire East and Cheshire West and Chester.

Cllr Matt Smith, cabinet member for children and families, said: “Together, we’ve recruited 48 new households this year, to add to our already thriving community of over 600 families who foster with the four authorities, including 150 here in Warrington alone.

“During these times, more than ever, our carers are working extraordinarily hard to provide love and stability to the children and young people in their care.

“We’re in constant communication with all carers and are supporting them to undertake aspects of their role in new ways, by implementing new technologies – which they have adapted to incredibly well. We want to take this opportunity to thank them all.”

All newly recruited households will receive a thank you email from the Foster4 service as a small gesture of our appreciation.
