Detectives are appealing for information following a ram raid in West Derby in the early hours of Friday 25 August.
At around 4.05am, officers were called to reports that a blue Vauxhall Crossland had drove into the front of Tesco Express on Mill Lane and stock was stolen from the shop.
Three masked men were seen walking from the area towards West Derby village and then Croxteth Park.
Further reports established that the suspects were then seen over the car park by the Sefton Arms where a car drove off from the area.
Officers remain at the location this morning to conduct continued enquiries.
Detective Inspector Darren Taylor said: “We are in the early stages of the investigation and are keen to speak to any witnesses who saw any of these men in and around West Derby Village in the early hours of Friday morning, or if you were driving by and have captured dashcam footage then please get in touch.
“The incident has caused significant damage to the premises which will take time to repair and is a huge inconvenience and distress to not only people who work there each day but also people who depend on it and shop there. I urge you to come forward if you know anything so we can find those responsible.”
