Detectives in Wigan are appealing for information after an aggravated burglary on Tuesday 13 December

Officers appeal for witnesses after pedestrian dies in south Manchester

At around 9:15pm on Tuesday 13 December, GMP were called to reports of a burglary at a house on Gordon Street, Leigh.

The female victim and her family were at home, when three men forced their way into the house.

The woman, in her 20s, is due to have surgery on her hand this week as a result of injuries she received during this incident.

Male one is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 11 in height, brown eyes, stocky build. He had brown hair, of medium length and had a local Wigan accent.

Male two is described as a white male, skinny build, approximately 5 feet 10 in height.

Male three is described as a tall male.

Detective Riyaz Patel, of Wigan CID has said: “This was an incredibly traumatic ordeal for the victims where three men forced their way in to their home. One of the males was carrying a weapon, believed to be a large knife, and threatened the family for money.

“We urge anyone who may have been in the area that night to come forward. No matter how small you think the information may be, it could prove vital to the investigation and identify the suspects.”

Detectives are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have footage, including dashcam, mobile phone or CCTV/ doorbell footage from this area in the moments leading up to and after this incident happened.
