Detectives investigating the murder of a 17-year-old boy in South Manchester have charged a third person

A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm/imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Tuesday 11 August 2020.  

At around 7.15pm on Sunday 26 July 2020, police were called to reports of a disturbance on Henbury Street, Manchester. Emergency services attended and a 17-year-old boy was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. He has since been formally identified as Mohamoud Mohamed
