Detectives issue CCTV appeal following assault in Warrington

Detectives have released a CCTV image following an assault in Warrington.

At around 1.10am on 20 November, a disturbance took place at a premises on Common Lane, Culcheth.

A 39-year-old man was assaulted and sustained serious facial injuries. He is now recovering at home.

The offender is believed to have left the venue with a group of men.

Police have now issued a CCTV image of a man that they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

Detective Constable Faye Nowell said: “This attack left the victim with a fractured jaw and other facial injuries. He will now have to live with the consequences of the suspect’s actions for a long time.

“Since the incident occurred, we have been conducting several enquiries and as part of these, we are issuing a CCTV image of a man that they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.

“I want to also appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have any information to assist with our investigation.

“If anyone recognises the man, or the man himself, please get in touch with us and we’ll do the rest.”
