A water main has burst this moriing (Sunday 3 May) at the main junction of Prescot Road/Debry Lane/St Oswald’s Street.
This has resulted in the full closure of Prescot Road in both directions between Broad Green Road and Derby Lane.
Road closures are currently in place at the following locations:
- Prescot Road at Green Lane (eastbound)
- Prescot Road at Broad Green Road (westbound)
- St Oswald’s Street at the Tesco Superstore junction (northbound)
- Derby Lane at Brookland Road West (southbound)
United Utilities is currently on site and a temporary repair is underway. The clean up operation will begin as soon as possible.
It is estimated that the road could be closed for a minimum of seven days, however, this is subject to change and the full extent will be know once United utilities has carried out an investigation on site.
