Family pay tribute to 75-year-old man who died following collision in Christleton

Roger Dutton, 75, from Holywell, tragically lost his life in a collision on Brown Heath Road, Christleton, Cheshire at around 3.45pm on Thursday 25 August. His family are being supported by specialist officers.

Roger leaves behind Dale, his wife of 46 years, son Joel, daughter Olivia and sister Judy.​

He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Jess 30, Maizie 23, Georgia 17, Emily 15, Maddie 15 and Alfie 12 along with his large extended family and so many close friends.

His family said

“Roger had a passion for life and enjoyed entertaining guests at every opportunity. He enjoyed fishing with his son Joel, was an avid cyclist, being a former member of Birkenhead North End Cycling club and an active member of Simply Grey Cycling Club of Chester.

“Roger was at the heart of everything he did and was an inspiration to all who knew him.​

“Most of all, he was a true gentleman, who will be forever remembered for his love, care and great sense of humour.”

Roger’s funeral will take place​on Thursday 22 September at 1pm, Northop Crematorium. The family have requested donations be made in lieu of flowers to Prostate Cancer UK.
