Four charged after crackdown on business robberies

A man has been charged following a disturbance in Hindley.

Four men have been charged following a crackdown on business robberies.

  • Izmamamul Majeed (28/12/1997) of Belgrave Road, Oldham has been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.
  • Mahdi Abubakar (12/08/1997) of Park Street, Ashton-under-lyne has been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.
  • Emran Miah (18/01/01) of Coniston Grove, Ashton-under-lyne has been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.
  • Izharaoul Majeed (15/01/1997) of Belgrave Road, Oldham has been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.

All four men have been remanded in custody and will appear before Manchester Crown Court on Friday 29 May 2020.

These charges are in relation to six reported robberies taking place at convenience stores since the lockdown restrictions were implemented on Monday 23 March 2020.
