Liverpool City Council shortlisted for two communications awards

Liverpool City Council has been shortlisted for two public sector communications awards.

The council’s Communications team is in the running at this year’s Unawards 2022, run by Comms2Point0.

They celebrate creativity, innovation and delivering great results in the communications world and are voted for by a mix of judges and the public.

One of the awards – Team of the Year – is open to a public vote at http://www.comms2point0unawards.co.uk/vote-now.

Liverpool’s Eurovision video
The council has also been shortlisted in the ‘Best Use of Video’ category for Culture Liverpool’s Eurovision video which was not only used as part of our bidding campaign, but was also cleverly updated as soon as Liverpool was announced as the host city for 2023.
The evocative two and a half minute showcase highlights exactly why Liverpool should host the competition on behalf of Ukraine – its welcoming nature, cultural credentials, diversity, and willingness to take a stand against issues that matter.
Not only does the video look amazing – it didn’t cost the city council a thing. Funding from an external partner covered the costs of the local media agency who created the video, the script was written in-house and narrated by a member of Culture Liverpool staff.
