Liverpool’s Home Library Service

Liverpool’s Home Library Service

Reading books is an enjoyable and rewarding experience and it can help to make people feel less isolated and lonely. Our Home Library Service Team chooses books for customers and delivers to their door.

Books based on your requests and personal preferences are selected and delivered to your home by our friendly team. Customers can have up to ten books for a four week loan period which our team will deliver and collect.

The Home Library Service Team deliver so much more than books – they are friendly, familiar faces making  regular  visits to people whose mobility and social interactions may be limited and who may have to self-isolate. They also provide a useful check on the safety and well-being of people living in our communities.

The method for delivery of our books has been temporarily revised during the current Covid -19 restrictions to ensure the health and wellbeing of our staff and customers. We will contact you to advise when to expect your delivery and observe social distancing requirements when at your property. We will not enter your property at present.  All books will have been left in quarantine for at least one week before being delivered and this exceeds Public Health England advice to leave books for 72 hours for ensuring that there will be no risk of any trace being left of the virus on the surface.
