We have charged a 22 year-old man with attempted murder following an incident in Waterloo on Boxing Night, Saturday 26th December 2020.
Emergency services were called to a flat on South Road following reports that a 38-year-old man had sustained a stab wound. The man was taken to hospital for treatment before being released. He continues to recover at home.
Michael Lewry, of Abbott Drive, Bootle, has been charged with attempted murder.
He was remanded into custody to appear at Wirral Remand Court today, Friday 22nd January.
