Man charged with drug possession following incident in Dingle

We have charged a 52 year-old man with an offence under the Explosives Substances Act following an incident in Anfield.

Officers were contacted on the evening of Friday 17th April this year following reports a loud bang had been heard and a metal pipe and black powder had been found in the hallway of a house in Sunlight Street. No explosion or injuries were caused.

A search warrant was executed at an address in Hilary Road, Anfield, yesterday, Friday 29th May.

Mohammed Ali, of Hilary Road, was arrested and charged with an offence under Section 3 Explosive Substances Act 1883 and remanded into custody to appear before Liverpool magistrates court today, Saturday 30th May.
