Man arrested following early morning warrant in Salford

One man was arrested this morning (Friday 24 March 2023) after officers discovered a suspected cannabis farm on Glendore in Weaste, Salford.

The early morning warrant was executed by officers from Salford South East’s Neighbourhood Team.

A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis. He remains in police custody for questioning.

Approximately 150-200 plants were discovered in the property.

Police Sergeant Philip Metcalfe said: “This was a great result from our neighbourhood team and reinforces our commitment to tackling criminality on our streets.

“We will continue to shut down these dangerous farms, which can endanger those in the community with their unsafe set-ups. We are committed to keeping the public safe and will do what we can to clamp down on illegal activities.”
