On Monday 20 March at around 5pm, a 14-year-old boy was approached and followed by a man in a vehicle on Jacksons Lane, Hazel Grove.
A man in his 40s was subsequently arrested on suspicion of attempted abduction.
Today, Sheraz Atteeque Bhatti (21/01/1981) of Longhope Road in Wythenshawe was charged with attempt child abduction.
He is due to appear at Tameside Magistrates Court on Thursday 23 March 2023.
