Man charged following aggravated burglary incident in Widnes

Appeal after boy has his bicycle stolen in Widnes robbery

A 21-year-old man from Widnes has been charged following an aggravated burglary incident in the town.

Jack Ferguson, of Lingwell Park, was arrested in Francis Close, Widnes, shortly after 11pm on Thursday 16 July.

He has subsequently been charged with aggravated burglary.

The charge relates to an incident that occurred at a house in Rydal Way, Widnes, at around 10.15pm on Thursday 16 July.

Police are currently looking for two other men in connection with the incident.

Ferguson appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 18 July, via a video link.

He was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday 17 August, again via a video link.
