Man charged following convenience store robbery in Ellesmere Port

Appeal after boy has his bicycle stolen in Widnes robbery

40-year-old man from Ellesmere Port has been charged following a robbery in the town.

Robert Forbes, of Sutton Way in Great Sutton, was arrested on Thursday 14 January.

He has subsequently been charged with robbery, dangerous driving and driving without a licence and insurance.

The robbery charge relates to an investigation into a robbery at a convenience store on Old Chester Road in Great Sutton.

No-one was hurt in the incident, which occurred shortly after 7am on Tuesday 12 January.

The driving offences relate to an incident in the Stanney Woods area of Ellesmere Port on Thursday 14 January.

Forbes has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 16 January.
