Appeal after boy has his bicycle stolen in Widnes robbery

A 22-year-old man from Widnes has been charged following a robbery at a supermarket in the town.

Daniel Flanagan, of Rivenmill Way, was arrested in Mill Lane, Widnes, at around 8.30pm on Monday 23 November.

He has subsequently been charged with robbery and possession of a class B drug (cannabis).

The charges relate to an incident at a supermarket off Derby Road that occurred shortly before 8.30pm that night.

Flanagan appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court, via a video link, on Wednesday 25 November.

He was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday 21 December.
