Man charged with attempted murder following stabbing

Officers have charged a 31 year old man with attempted murder following a stabbing earlier this month. 

We were called to Summers Avenue at around 5.10pm on 6th June where it was reported a 39 year old man had sustained a stab wound to the neck and lacerations to his arms and torso. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

31 year old Anthony Cousins from Bootle has been charged with attempted murder and has been remanded in custody until 10th July for a plea hearing.
