Man charged with drugs offences after being stopped by Cheshire Police on the M62

Cheshire Police have charged a 59-year-old man from Coventry after a vehicle was stopped on the M62 eastbound between J10 and J11.

Mark Barker, from Nunts Park Avenue, Coventry was charged with possession of a controlled drug of Class A (Cocaine) and acquiring, using or possessing criminal property.

He is due to appear at Chester Magistrates on Friday 19 May.

The charges relate to a report of suspicious activity on the M6 services. Officers from the Roads and Crime Unit stopped the vehicle as it drove toward Manchester on the M62 and discovered a large quantity of drugs. Money was also seized at his address following a warrant.
