Appeal after boy has his bicycle stolen in Widnes robbery

A man has been charged with possession of criminal property following the seizure of a large quantity of cash from his home in Northwich.

Benjamin Kershaw, formally of Bishops Way, Northwich was arrested in August 2020 for an unrelated matter.

Following his arrest, officers recovered more than £20,000 cash during a search of his address.

Kershaw, now of Chester Road, Oakmere, has subsequently been charged with possession of criminal property in relation to the cash.

The 42-year-old appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Friday 23 September where he was bailed.

He is next set to appear at Chester crown Court on Friday 28 October.
