Officers appeal for information following criminal damage in Knutsford

Officers investigating an incident of criminal damage at an address in Knutsford are appealing for information from the public.

At around 12pm on Tuesday 14 February, officers received reports vandalism and criminal damage at an address in Knutsford.

Sometime between 12:13am and 12:17am on Saturday 11 February, an unknown man, who was walking two dogs, approached the boundary fence of the property on Toft Lane.

The man proceeded to uproot fenceposts and cut the wire fencing, causing around £3000 worth of damage.

Enquiries into the incident currently remain ongoing and, as part of the investigation, officers have released CCTV footage of a man they at looking to speak to.

Police Constable John Milman of Macclesfield LPU said:

“Enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing and as part of out investigation we are keen to speak to the man in the footage as we believe he may be able to help with our investigation.

“I would urge anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV to come forward so that we can progress with our enquiries. I would also ask the man in the CCTV to contact us.”
