Man charged with four offences following incident in Widnes

Officers are appealing for information following a fail to stop collision in Macclesfield.

At 8.56am on Monday 20 September a report was received of a collision involving a cyclist and a dark blue box shaped vehicle at the roundabout on Park Lane and Churchill Way.

The cyclist, a man in his 60s, sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident.

The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene.

Officers are now appealing to the public to come forward with any information they feel may assist with the investigation.

Police Constable Jake Stewart said: “We know that the vehicle was travelling on Park Lane towards Sunderland Street when the collision occurred.

“A number of enquiries have been ongoing to locate the driver and the vehicle since the collision.

“As part of these enquiries we are keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident or of the vehicle before or after the collision.

“The same goes to anyone who may have captured CCTV or may know who is responsible.”
