Officers are appealing for information following a collision in Salford

Police are appealing for information after a pregnant woman’s car was stolen in Chorlton, Manchester.

At around 10pm on Tuesday 7 April 2021, police were called to a report of a serious road traffic collision on Albion Way, Salford.

Officers attended and established that a vehicle had collided with the barrier, whilst taking the exit off the M602.

Emergency services attended and a male and female – aged 23 and 21 – were taken to hospital, where they remain with serious injuries.

No arrests have been made, and enquiries are ongoing.

Constable Neil Pennington from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Greater Manchester Police said: “We are appealing to anyone with information and/or dash cam footage to speak with police as we work to piece together how this incident unfolded.”

“Both individuals remain in hospital with serious injuries, and any information could prove invaluable.”
