Appeal after boy has his bicycle stolen in Widnes robbery

Officers are continuing to appeal for information following a fatal collision in Church Lawton.

At around 10pm on Thursday 15 April officers were called to the junction of Congleton Road South and Liverpool Road West following reports of a collision involving a red Yamaha motorbike.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, passed away at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Officers want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.

Sergeant Andrew Dennison said: “As part of the investigation, we are keen to speak to the driver of a car that was travelling along Liverpool Road West towards Kidsgrove.

“It is believed that the driver came across the collision but left before the arrival of officers.

“We know that the driver was male and was driving in front of a Fiat 500 and we want to speak with him to assist with our enquiries.

“We would also appeal to anyone who has any dashcam footage from around the time of the incident to come forward if they have not already done so.”
