After Manchester played host to the Conservative Party Conference in Manchester over the last few days, GMP’s Deputy Chief Constable Terry woods has this message to the public and businesses, thanking them for their patience and co-operation throughout the policing operation around the event.

Operation Protector was re-launched this year to oversee the safety and security of the major event.
The conference ran from Sunday 3 October until Wednesday 6 October, and saw thousands of extra people enter the city.
