Police appeal for information after two men sadly die in a collision in Newton Heath

Did you witness an assault of two men in Tameside?

At around 5am yesterday morning (Sunday 25 July) police were called to a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorbike on Oldham Road, Newton Heath.

Emergency services attended, and sadly, two men aged 20 and 28 died at the scene.

No arrests have been made. Enquiries are ongoing.

PC Phil Collingwood, of GMPs Serious Collision Investigation Unit said:

“This is a devastating incident in which two young men have sadly lost their lives and our thoughts remain with their family and friends at this extremely difficult time.

“An investigation is under way into the circumstances leading up to the crash – anybody with information or dashcam footage of this collision is asked to call police on 0161 856 4741 quoting log 0730 of 25/07/21.”
