Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to following a sexual assault in Bolton

Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to following a sexual assault in Bolton.

At around 8.55am on Tuesday 12 May 2020, police were called to reports that a woman had been sexually assaulted by a man in Queens Park.

Officers attended and enquiries established that the victim, who’s in her 50s, was near the duck pond when she was approached by a man. The man tried to start a conversation and put his arm around her before sexually assaulting her and fleeing the scene on foot in the direction of Chorley New Road.

An investigation is underway.

No arrests have been made.

The offender is described as having a European, possibly Portuguese, accent.
