Police have released CCTV of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an assault in Trafford

At around 2.50am on Saturday 15 February 2020, police received a report of a disturbance near Papa Cinos and the Cheshire Tap on Railway Street, Altrincham.

A 26 year-old man was taken to hospital with face and arm injuries. He has since been discharged.

No arrests have been made.

An investigation is underway.

PC Geeta Singh, of GMP’s Trafford district, said: “This incident happened a couple of months ago but our investigation is very much ongoing.”

“It was a nasty assault and the victim was lucky that he wasn’t more seriously injured.

“I appeal to anyone with information about the assault or who recognises the man in the CCTV image to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
