Police issue CCTV appeal after spate of burglaries in Chorlton

Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with a series of burglaries at businesses in Chorlton.

The burglaries took place between 15 December 2021, and 19 January 2022 at a number of premises on Barlow Moor Road, Beech Road, and Wilbraham Road.

One premise has been targeted twice in that time.

Between 15 December 2021, and 19 January 2022, a man has been approaching each premise and causing damage to the front of the shops, costing from around £250 to £10,000 to repair.

Once access has been gained to the premises, the till is removed, and quantities of cash ranging from £300 to £3,000 have been taken.

Sergeant Graham Siddall from GMP’s City of Manchester District said: “We’ve released these images to try and trace a man we’re keen to speak to in connection with these burglaries.

“These crimes are having a devastating impact on these businesses, some of which have been targeted more than once, and it won’t be tolerated in our community.

“If you or anyone you know has any information, or recognises the man in the pictures, please get in touch with police.
