At 12.30pm on Monday 3 August police received a number of reports of a large disturbance on Factory Lane, Widnes.
Local officers, supported by armed police, were deployed to the scene and on arrival they found that there had been an altercation involving around 20 people.
There are no reports of any serious injuries at this time.
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of affray in connection with incident.
