September Sees Sutton Kersh Auctions Sell Over £8.5 Million Worth Of Property

Sutton Kersh held their 5th auction of the year selling an impressive 78 properties, bringing their year to date number of properties sold at auction to 379. The live streamed event saw 350 register to bid and was once again watched by hundreds of people throughout the country.

The team sold over £3.9 million worth of property prior to auction, bringing the total for this auction to £8.5 million. Investment and residential properties again proved extremely popular.

Bidding was strong from the offset; Lot 1, a 3 bed semi in L7, had 22 bidders registered, a guide price of £70,000 and sold for an astonishing £120,000.

A 3 storey mixed use property on County Road sold for £30,000 over the guide price due to the current high demand for this type of property.

Associate Director Cathy Holt said ‘It was great to see so many Lots selling for above their guide price, like Lot 7 which sold for £30k over guide price, along with many other Lots having strong bidding wars too. We have so far sold 80% of Lots offered, with more being sold post auction and I am delighted to have achieved this result once again whilst we are in a pandemic.’

Further highlights of the auction include; Lot 8, a 3 storey mid terraced property in Bootle which has been converted into 3 self contained flats, which sold for £138,000, a huge £38, 000 over the guide.

Lot 27, a vacant 2 bed on Hawkins Street in the L6 area, had a guide price of £40,000 and sold for £73,000.

Lot 87, in Wavertree, was the ultimate ‘doer-upper’ for anyone wanting to expand their property portfolio. It gained a lot of pre auction interest with 30 bidders register for it, which resulted in it selling for £47,500 over the guide price.

A sizeable 4 bedroom semi detached property in Torquay, Devon, was exceptionally popular with bidders. It had a guide price of £235,000 and sold for an impressive £307,500.

‘Demand is still high for properties throughout the country, especially in Liverpool and on the South Coast.. The Croft in Paignton in Devon is a fantastic example of this. This beautiful 3 bedroom bungalow sold for £370,000 which was £30,000 over the guide price’ commented Cathy Holt.

So far this year the Sutton Kersh auction team have sold over £37.5 million worth of property. Their next auction will take place on 22nd October 2020 and they are taking instructions for this now.
