St Helens Together

St Helens Together 01744 676767 is a single point of contact for people needing help or wanting to volunteer.

Need help?

If you’re isolated by coronavirus and need help, please call 01744 676767 to find out what support is available.

There are volunteers around St Helens who can do things like:

  • Pick up your food shopping, essential supplies or medication and leave them on your doorstep
  • Have a friendly chat with you on the phone
  • Walk your dog

We are also operating a community hub, from which food parcels are delivered each week to our most vulnerable residents.

Can you volunteer?

If you would like to volunteer to help people who are isolated or affected by coronavirus, please register your details on the volunteer portal or call 01744 676767.

You can help by doing things like:

  • Delivering food, essential supplies or medication – ensuring you’re following social distancing guidelines by leaving them on the doorstep
  • Making a friendly phone call to someone self-isolating
  • Offering to walk the dog
  • Sharing key messages across your community online. For up-to-date messages, visit 111.nhs.uk/covid-19

Here’s an image to share on social media and you can also download an A4 poster to print.

Street champions

When registering, you can also put yourself forward as a ‘street champion’. You can download a postcard and introduce yourself to your neighbours, offering support.

Street champions might also be contacted with details of someone in need who has been in touch with them. You’ll be supported by our Contact Cares team, who can help if someone has concerns about a neighbour or does not know where to direct them.
