Stamp of approval for NHS staff

Residents in Mossley Hill are honouring NHS staff for their work during the COVID-19 pandemic in a blooming lovely way!

Laura Cuthbert, who is a finance officer at Liverpool City Council and Karen Smith, the postmistress of Booker Avenue post office, have adorned the post box outside with a giant blue rosette in NHS colours.

Laura said: We decided that we’d do something to say thank you for all that they’re doing for us really. We’ve done a Father Christmas and then we have knitted toppers as well, just for the community really.”

Karen said the aim is to bring a bit of cheer, adding: “We serve plenty of nurses, medical people in there, whether they’re retired NHS staff, whether they’re on the front line – they absolutely love it.”
