Man charged with drug possession following incident in Dingle

We have arrested two people on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.

Officers from St Helens attended at an address in Ashton-in-Makerfield, yesterday morning, Sunday 17th May, following reports of a domestic disturbance.

Following a search of the property an off road scrambler bike, believed to be stolen, was recovered.

A quantity of suspected Class B drugs were also recovered from the property.

 A 21 year-old man from Ashton-in-Makerfield was arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle, possession with intent to supply a controlled drug Class B and acquiring/possessing criminal property.

A 50 year-old man from St Helens was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs, theft of motor vehicle and handling stolen property.

 Both have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
