Two charged in connection with imitation firearm and ammunition

We have charged a 23-year-old St Helens man with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

Nathan Halliwell, of Brookway Lane, was also charged with possession of ammunition for a firearm, using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour and criminal damage.

Dawn Halliwell, 49, and also of Brookway Lane, was also charged with possession of ammunition for a firearm and assault by beating of an emergency worker.

The arrests came after police were called to an address in St Helens following reports of concern for safety at around 8am on Monday 19th December.

Both were remanded in custody to appear at court today, Wednesday 21st December.
