Two charged with murder of Warren Glover in St Helens

Man arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs, assault and resisting arrest in Moreton

We have charged two men with the murder of Warren Glover in Thatto Heath.

Warren Glover, 33, was assaulted at around 10.15pm on Saturday 13 June in French Street at its junction with Thompson Street in Thatto Heath. He was taken to hospital where he sadly passed away on Tuesday, 7 July.

Peter Walker, 30, of Garth Road, Manchester and Aaron Stubbs, 30, of Lane End Road, Manchester have been charged with murder and were remanded in custody.

Walker appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court yesterday (Monday 13 July) and was further remanded to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on 10 August.

Stubbs appeared at Liverpool Magistartes Court today (Tuesday 14 July) and was also remanded to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on 10 August.

A 28-year-old woman from Manchester and a 41-year-old man from Stockport, previously arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent, were released on conditional bail pending further enquiries. A 54-year-old woman was also interviewed under caution last week (Friday 9 July) in connection with the incident, and remains under investigation.
