Two men charged following assault in Empire Bar, St Helens

Man charged with Huyton burglary

We have charged two men following an incident in St Helens yesterday morning (Saturday 9 October). 
 
At around 1.45am we received a report that a man had been assaulted in Empire Bar on Westfield Street.
 
Patrols attended and detained and arrested two men a short distance away from the bar.
 
Robbie Bolton, aged 25, of Luther Grove, St Helens has now been charged with Section 18, grievous bodily harm with intent. He has been remanded in custody and will appear in Wirral Adult Remand Court tomorrow morning (Monday 11 October).
 
Jamie Roscoe, aged 30, of Appleton Grove, St Helens has now been charged with using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour with intent to cause fear of/provoke unlawful violence. He has been released on conditional bail to appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on Monday 25 October. 
 
Detective Inspector Leanne Hobin said: “Our enquiries continue into this incident, so if you witnessed it or have any information, please come forward.  We’ll continue to take swift and positive action against all those we suspect are bringing harm into our communities.”
