Two Merseyside men have been charged in connection with a Class A drugs conspiracy.
Officers from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) carried out a series of warrants yesterday, Thursday 18th February, as part of the national Operation Venetic.
Daniel McLoughlin, 34, of Alderley Road, Hoylake, has been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine, heroin and cannabis, fraudulent evasion of a prohibition out of the UK (exporting cocaine) and
fraudulent evasion of a prohibition out of the UK (exporting ketamine).
Elliot Garrity, 41, of Old Lodge Close in West Derby, has been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine, heroin and cannabis and possession of a weapon designed for the discharge of a noxious liquid, namely CS Gas.
Both were remanded to appear at Wirral Magistrates today, Friday 19th February.
Detective Chief Inspector Jason Pye, from NWROCU said: “Our work continues on a daily basis to remove Class A drugs and the people who seek to supply and distribute them from the streets of the North West.
“We will continue to work with our colleagues in our North West police forces and the National Crime Agency to respond to intelligence and take positive action.
“I would ask that the public continue to support us in this and give us information about activity in their neighbourhoods.”
