Motorists are advised of upcoming road closures in St Helens Borough for repair works.
From Monday 18 May, A571 Wigan Road at its junction with B5206 Upholland Road and the Wigan boundary will be closed to traffic for five days to allow carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out.
The Wigan section between the St Helens boundary and Winstanley Road will be closed for two weeks from Monday 18 May.
While on Tuesday 26 May, motorist will be unable to turn left from Thatto Heath Road onto Elephant Lane due to gas mains replacement works which is expected to take four days to complete.
Then on Thursday 28 May, Rivington Road at its junction with A570 Dentons Green Lane will be closed for the day – subject to weather conditions – for patch repairs following recent electricity cable repair work.
