We can confirm that, following a road traffic collision in Sefton Village in September, 31-year-old Jennie Dowd from Crosby has now sadly passed away in hospital.
Jennie was found seriously injured near to the The Punchbowl on Lunt Road on the morning of Sunday, 27 September, after a collision between her pedal cycle and a car.
Her family is being supported by officers as the investigation into the incident continues.
A 23-year-old woman from Sefton remains under investigation after being arrested on the day of the incident.
