Virtual Children’s Social Worker Recruitment Event announced in St Helens Borough Council

St Helens Borough Council will hold a virtual children’s social worker recruitment event later this month.

Targeted at qualified social workers looking for a fresh challenge or those thinking of returning to the profession, the event is part of the council’s drive to raise standards in children’s services, with careers available in adoption, fostering – and for experienced social workers, advanced practitioners in assessment and complex safeguarding.

Social workers in St Helens Borough work in an environment that enables learning and development to ensure the right qualities are gained to support children and families  – and are provided with the technology to work flexibly and from home to support a better work life balance.

Encouraging people to attend, Simon Manseri, who has worked as a Principal Social Worker for St Helens Borough Council since September 2019, said: “I have loved being part of the St Helens team. What struck me initially was just how welcoming and helpful everyone was to me being a new starter.

Whether you are an experienced social worker or newly qualified, there are learning and development opportunities for everyone. if you are looking for a new experience come along to our virtual recruitment event to meet members of the St Helens team.”
